My journey in design began in the theater as a lighting and scenic designer, later as a fine artist and as a caretaker for a handful of California properties ranging from small bungalows to an arts and crafts home, a Beaux Arts Spanish-Revival home and an 100-unit executive apartment building atop Nob Hill in San Francisco. Working in the fine arts and the booming tech industry rounded out my development before a cross country adventure and life in New York City blossomed into a career in interior design that has led from coast to coast and back again working in a variety of styles and media. Today, I’m a hospitality geek. Not a “Where’s the bar!” hospitality geek but more of a “What’s the experience? Where’s the connection?” sort of hospitality geek. You won’t find any conversations about EBITA here. You will find conversations about the things we all crave: experience, awe, our shared humanity, rest… All this intangibles we love so much.
